How Phantom Arena works in Girls Echo: daily attempts, sweeps, rank swaps, 21:00 rewards, the 10,000-Diamond All-Time High reward and the Arena Shop.
Unlock and lineup
The Arena button on the main screen appears at Player Lv. 16, and Phantom Arena is open as soon as you can enter it. You set one Phantom Arena team. It attacks when you challenge and defends when others challenge you. Peak Duel also uses this team unless you change it there; Dimensional Duel has its own.
Battles are worked out by the server. The game only plays back the result.
Attempts
The in-game help says you get 5 attempts a day, reset at 00:00. When you run out and tap Challenge or Sweep, the game first checks your bag: if you have a Phantom Arena Challenge Ticket, it offers to use one. Only without a ticket does it offer to buy an attempt with Diamonds, and once you have no purchases left that day, the button does nothing at all.
The price and the number of purchases a day come from the server. The game files list 20 Diamonds for each of 28 purchases (unconfirmed).
Challenge or sweep
Each opponent shows a single button. Opponents ranked below you only have Sweep; you can't fight them by hand. Sweep fights them without a battle scene and uses up to 5 attempts at once: the button reads Sweep N Times, where N is 5 or your attempts left, if fewer. Opponents above you, and everyone while you have no rank yet, show Challenge, which uses 1 attempt.
The refresh button gives you a new set of opponents, with a cooldown set by the server. The game files place an NPC on every rank from 1 to 2,500 when a server starts.
Winning and losing
Win and you swap ranks with your opponent. Lose and your rank stays the same. Either way you get Duel Point x100, at every rank. Your rank can also drop while you're away, when someone beats your defence team; these fights show up as Defense in your battle records. The records keep the last 20 battles (in-game help), with replays.
The in-game help calls the currency Honor Coins. It means Duel Point; the item named Honor Coin belongs to another system.
Daily rewards
Daily rank rewards are paid at 21:00 by mail, based on your rank at that moment. The countdown on the Phantom Arena card (Rank Settlement) doesn't count to 21:00: it counts to midnight on your device's clock, when attempts reset.

All-Time High rewards
Reaching a better rank than ever before pays Diamonds once. After the battle a popup shows your All-Time High, your current rank, how many ranks you climbed and the Diamonds. The rewards screen shows Diamonds claimed out of the total.
The game files give Diamonds for every rank from 2,000 up to 1, 10,000 in all; ranks below 2,000 give nothing. How the server pays a jump of several ranks isn't confirmed; if it pays every rank passed, climbing from below 2,000 to rank 1 adds up to the full 10,000.
